Do I have to maintain my membership with AOL?
In order for our service to work you must maintain your current AOL screen name. We recommend calling AOL and discussing with them the different plans that they offer. For instance, if you are not using AOL for dial-up internet connection because you have high speed through a different ISP (internet service provider) - you can reduce your plan to their FREE plan. AOL's FREE plan is easily available on thier website or you can always call AOL at 1-800-392-5180

How do I differentiate emails being sent to AOL versus my new email address?
Your forwarded emails will always include a tagline that says "Redirected by Yourname@aol.com". This tagline helps you to distinguish who is sending to your AOL email address and those that are not. Remember - if you chose the Auto Reply option your senders will automatically receive your special greeting announcing your new email address. This tagline is not always visible, it depends on what mail client you use.
Microsoft Outlook users might want to remove the tagline that says "Redirected by Yourname@aol.com" as this tag message sometimes shows up in the auto complete option on the To: field. This may be requested on our Edit Account page or call Support at 281-417-4007.

Why do we not recommend using the leave AOL messages on server option?
We do not recommend leaving your email on the AOL servers as there is a chance that all emails left on the AOL server may be processed multiple times and/or eventually purged. If you do choose this option you may sign on to AOL and read your mail but any messages intercepted/read by you will potentially not be forwarded. Any mail already forwarded will still be available in you AOL Inbox. We do not recommend the setting for your AOL email to be left on the AOL servers after forwarding. Please call support before choosing this option so you may understand all the possible risks - this option may be set up at any time by calling support at 281-417-4007.

Why did I recieve my forwarded AOL message(s) twice?
This only happens if you chose the Leave on AOL server option during intial setup. Periodically AOL must reset the server that your AOL email is setting on. If this occurs our servers are unable to recognize your emails as had been already forwarded. To avoid this we recommend all messages forwarded from AOL to be deleted from AOL's server. This is a recommended option that we are able to setup for you on our servers. Please contact customer service or visit the Edit Account portion of our website to make this change. This option is not recommended unless you understand all the risk involved. Please feel free to contact eMAILesape Sales if you have any questions.

Why do you need my AOL account password?
Our secured servers automatically login to AOL's servers every 5 minutes. In order for our servers to access your messages for forwarding it must submit your screen name and password everytime it accesses your account. Without our servers being able to provide your password forwarding would be impossible.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Yes, Forward America's website order form is available in a encrypted SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), the industry standard in security protocols. You can also tell from the format of the URL.
